Portobelo Express Train

We leave Panama City at 8:30 am and we drive for about an hour and thirty minutes (1:30) to the ruins of Portobelo, located in a bay and we will find one of the most important and rich fortifications of the colonial era, as the fairs were held there and was a starting point from the Caribbean Sea to land in Europe, especially Spain.

You will see canyons that still show the importance of their defense. You will also see the Church of the Black Christ (Iglesia del Cristo Negro), which is the center of pilgrimage for devotees of the Black Christ, you will have lunch and then we drive for 30 minutes to Colón for a sightseeing tour of the city with Antillean features that still preserve traditions of black culture and then continue with a brief visit to the Gatun locks. Finally, we will go to the train station in Colón at 4:30 pm to leave for Panama City, the journey includes the Agua Clara Locks area and takes about an hour.

The tour ends at approximately 7:00 pm.

Includes: Transportation by train and bus, entrance fees, water, lunch and guide-driver.
